Thank you USBClean!
As most folks know, the Mac leaves a lot of hidden files on drives that only serve to get in the way on other systems. Such as on my smart car’s radio when reading my USB drive. Yikes, for every song on it there was a duplicate non-funfuctional song to have to a) scan and b) skim through to get to the real song. Pain in the butt to say the least. So, this morning I decided to look into some way to remove all the hidden files. “Clean” my USB drive after copying all my favorite tunes to it via iTunes. I looked and looked. Found a few apps (outside of the App Store) and, most likely since I am running OS X (10.10) beta 3, they failed to even run. Then I searched within the App Store and found USBClean. And CLEAN it did. All I had to do was run it and drop my USB drive on it. It got rid of all the unnessasary files AND automatically ejected the drive. The only left to do was unplug it from my MacBook Air and plug it into my smart car and WOW, the only items displayed were REAL SONGS. THANK YOU so very much for building this magical software Russell. It has completely solved my problem.
